Tropical Spring

Here is the April part of the 2012 calendar...and this time in the correct month.

I really love the color contrast in this picture. Yellow ochre against olive-ish green looks great.

I believe this type of monkey is called a golden lion tamarin. They're really pretty. And having read the His Dark Materials trilogy (IMO, The Golden Compass is by far the best of the three) and seen the movie, I cannot look at this monkey without thinking of Mrs. Coulter, who had one of these as her daemon.
