The Time Flyers

The Time Flyers are all Eternity characters; Eternity is an original series I write.

I typically don't like drawing group pictures of characters in a line, but I wanted this to be a height comparison for the Time Flyers as well. The lines are very old; I drew it around two years ago, though I updated it significantly (as well as many of the characters' designs) when I did the digital work. Also, I worked out a way of texturing feathers! I don't think it's perfect, but I'm satisfied with it for now. Also, like with fur, I can't find a good way to texture black or white feathers.

The Time Flyers are a gang in Eternity based in New City, a district of the city Neroissi. They are led by Concorde the Falcon, one of two main characters in Eternity (Topaz being the other, of course).

Name: Phoebe Brighton
Species: Robin
Age: Mid-late thirties (she and Concorde are the same age)

Dislikes: Hypocrites, those who are stupid or hard to explain things to,
Strengths: Extremely intelligent, very worldly wise
Weaknesses: Says thing she regrets when she’s angry/annoyed, refuses to admit when she’s wrong
Personality: Cynical, sharp-witted, highly intelligent, mildly impatient
Backstory: Phoebe spent all of her early life at a special retreat for remarkably intelligent people and animals. Though she enjoyed the strict upbringing she had there, she wanted to explore the world more and learn things on her own. She set out on her own as a teenager and met up with Ceylon, who was on his own quest. The two later met up with Concorde and formed the Time Flyers. She is Feist’s girlfriend.

Name: Feist the Sparrow
Species: Sparrow
Age: Early-mid twenties

Likes: Causing trouble, loud and energetic music, Phoebe
Dislikes: Being still for a long time, Ceylon
Strengths: Has his atomizer (a three-part can that can convert any liquid into a gas that can be sprayed), fairly good fighter, good with escapes
Weaknesses: Lacks patience, overestimates his abilities
Personality: Loudmouthed, somewhat arrogant, witty in a rude way
Backstory: Feist comes from Klein, a planet in the Counter-Dimension that is literally the opposite of the Eternity world. He is Ceylon’s counterpart (his opposite) and like all counterparts, the two despise each other. On Klein, Feist was merely a troublemaker, and while escaping from a situation on Klein, he used an Ephemeral Ring (the Klein version of an Eternity Band) to warp away. Since Ephemeral Rings are fairly volatile, he accidentally ended up in another dimension. Soon after that, he met up with the Time Flyers and joined them. He is Phoebe’s boyfriend.

Name: Ceylon the Peafowl
Species: Peafowl
Age: Mid-thirties (he is a year younger than Phoebe and Concorde)

Likes: Relaxing activities, exotic/bohemian decorations and clothing, meditating, the occult and supernatural
Dislikes: Conflicts (especially amongst the Time Flyers), Feist
Strengths: Interpreting omens, while he’s not truly psychic, he has a very powerful intuition and can see/ guess at what will happen, is extremely hard to anger (Feist is the only one who can rile him up)
Weaknesses: Not a good fighter (he doesn’t like fighting, anyways), is very humble about his looks and his abilities
Personality: Modest, open-minded, relaxed, mild, patient
Backstory: When he was younger, Ceylon set out on a spiritual quest to find his true calling. He had always been gifted intuitively, but he wanted to further his abilities and find a use for them. On this quest, he met up with Phoebe, and a few years later down the line, he met Concorde and the three young birds formed the Time Flyers.


Name: Larina Goelande
Species: Gull
Age: Mid-twenties

Likes: Tattoos (both on her and as an art form), tinkering, learning how things work, bodies of water (rivers, oceans, et cetera), her heritage
Dislikes: Arid or hot places, plain, undecorated things
Strengths: Skilled with machines, is a good judge of character
Weaknesses: She’s not good enough of a mechanic to build things from scratch, is often impractical
Personality: Somewhat artsy, capricious, loyal, impractical
Backstory: Larina is a direct descendant from the ancient country Aviara. In honor of this, she had the traditional Aviaran markings tattooed on her wings and is very proud of this fact. Larina honestly had no goal in life. Most recently she worked as an auto mechanic for a disreputable dealership, disassembling stolen cars to later sell the parts. When the dealership shut down, she once again didn't know what to do with her life...until she met Concorde.

Name: Nikko the Finch
Species: Finch
Age: Around 10

Likes: Warm weather, the occasional visits with his family,
Dislikes: Spending too much time indoors, the fact there aren’t any other kids his age to play with
Strengths: Photokinetic, fairly worldly-wise for a ten-year-old
Weaknesses: Is still quite naïve about some things, his powers don’t work in any place without sunlight
Personality: Sweet-natured, innocent, polite, curious
Backstory: When he was still in his egg, Nikko’s mother, Macy the Finch, knowing her sister Dixie was too busy (and single at the time) to have her own children, gave Dixie one of her eggs to bring up. Dixie sees him as a son, and is in charge of raising him. Nikko is also a photokinetic-he can control light (this trait didn’t come from Dixie’s side of the family, though).
