Eternity Summer Pt 6

10:30 PM
Four birds were gathered on the dance floor in a small group. A voice rang out of the loudspeakers; the DJ was speaking.
"All right!" he said. "We've got one hour left until this party is over, so I'm gonna let you decide how it ends! All you have to do is decide on whether you want the lights on or off on the dance floor."
"That's an easy decision," the first of the four scoffed. "How can you dance when you can't see a thing?" He was wearing a black jacket and pants with a white shirt and tie to go with it. A robin clad in an indigo dress with a frilly white skirt, a white ribbon, long white gloves indigo shoes and eyeshadow rolled her eyes.
"Not all the lights would be off, you idiot. I swear, Feist, you have no common sense."
"I have to agree with that," Ceylon nodded. The peacock was wearing a white outfit with a spotted open jacket with beads in the middle, flared sleeves and a matching belt. Feist glared at him.
"Oh yeah? Give me a reason that the dark is better!"
"Yes," Larina said. "You haven't given us any reasons why the dark is better, but you say the light is worse." She was dressed in a pale blue and white dress with a slit skirt.
"There's a much better atmosphere in the darkness. It's seductive, relaxing..."
"Relaxing?!" Feist cut him off mid-sentence. "Why would you want it to be relaxing? We're here to have fun, not to relax!"
"But it's more fun in the dark!" Phoebe retorted. Ceylon sighed and looked around the dance floor. The rest of the animals on the dance floor were peacefully making their decisions or had already decided.
"Guys," he began. "Let's stop arguing and come to an agreement. Look around you. Everyone else has already decided. So we should."
There was a brief silence.
"That's a good idea," Larina nodded. "I say we agree to turn the lights on."
"No!" Feist protested. "Let's agree to turn the lights off! They've been on for the whole dance!"
Ceylon looked at Phoebe.
"This is getting nowhere," he groaned.
"Yeah," Phoebe agreed. "Let's just agree to turn off the lights."
The DJ's voice sounded from the loudspeakers.
"Well, it seems we've reached a final decision!"
